Fresh seasonal specials are here — mango ahi poke, coconut shrimp plates and a brand new lilikoi lemonade. Come in and try them before they're gone.
Every season we update a portion of the menu to reflect what's freshest, what we're excited about and what the weather demands. Summer in Takamatsu is hot and brilliant and calls for food that's bright, cold and energising. So that's what we made.
The Mango Ahi Poke Bowl
Our classic ahi poke gets a summer remix: fresh diced mango folded in at the last moment, adding sweetness and acidity that makes the seasoned tuna sing. We top it with pickled cucumber, a drizzle of house chili oil and crispy shallots. It's our most popular new dish by a distance — we're making twice as much of it as we planned and still running out.
Coconut Shrimp Plate Lunch
Plump shrimp coated in shredded coconut, pan-fried until golden, served over two scoops of steamed white rice with a pineapple dipping sauce and our house mac salad. It's a classic Shrimp Truck dish — the kind you'd get from a truck on the North Shore road — brought indoors and treated with love.
Lilikoi Lemonade
This one came from our team. Someone made a batch to share at staff meal and we immediately put it on the menu. Fresh lilikoi (passion fruit) pulp, lemon juice, cane sugar syrup and sparkling water. Bright, floral, tart. The most refreshing thing we've ever served.
The summer specials run while supplies last. Follow us at @alohahouse_takamatsu for daily updates on what's available. Come early — especially for the poke.
